On my early day walk
With joy in my heart
To all that I meet
I hope to impart
The gladness I feel
Put a smile on their face
Brighten their way
Lighten their load
For a happier day.
I have muffins on my waist line
Cream puffs on my stomach
Pizzas layer my shoulders
And hamburgers bulge my thighs
I’m a walking delicatessen
And bakery all combined
I waddle here, I waddle there
Jiggle and shimmy along my way
I eat too much, I can’t say no
My life is brimming full of woe
This has to stop, I see that now
I won’t be able to get in my car
No movies, no coffee with friends
I’m begging for help
Walk with me, encourage me,
Scold me, threaten me
Mine is a desperate journey
I must jettison these bulging groceries
All of them! Now!
