VANCOUVER IN THE RAIN

VANCOUVER IN THE RAIN - Heart Songz Poetry

I look out on the street below
On muted duns and greys
Splashed here and there with soft lamp glow
Or spearing car lights in the street
On hurried feet and wetted coat
On orbs of bobbing hues
Bright umbrellas dodging puddles
Vancouver in the rain!

NEW NEIGHBOR

Robin Gets The Worm

Something wonderful
Is happening to me
A brand new family
Has made their home
Near me—in my tree
The father dark and regal
Blinks a curious eye
Puffs up his ruddy breast
Watches me pass by
Guards his home
His tree!
